Our Labor Day weekend...

I hope everyone had a great relaxing Labor Day weekend. The hubs and I took Carter to the JW Marriott here in town. We spent a couple nights there and had a fabulous time. Sometimes a vacation in your own town is the way to go. We did not have to worry about security lines at the airport or construction on the interstates (sometimes Orlando has some pretty bad traffic though). It was nice to drive 30 minutes and arrive at our destination. It was important for us to get away from our home projects and spend some family time together. I love a great hotel bed and this one did not disappoint...Carter zoned in on it as soon as we opened the door. She loved all the pillows! We had requested a crib/pack-in-play for the room. The staff was so nice and set everything up for us!

Our friends, the Crescentis, joined us on Saturday. The girls looked too cute in their tutu bathing suits (it wasn't even planned). We hung out by the pool all day. The girls had a fun-filled day of activities. They loved swimming in the lazy river, playing in the sand and sliding down the slide. While the mommies and daddies ate their pool-side lunch, the girls lounged with their water and goldfish. After all the excitement, the girls were tired and ready for their naps.

All the beginnings of a sand castle...

Looks like some good secrets being shared here...

After a much-needed bath for the girls, Carter was trying to sneak Gracyn's shoes away from her...

On the last day, we had more pool sandbox fun. You will notice in the picture below Carter has two hands full of sand...it was taken right before she throw the unwelcoming sand on a undeserving boy. He took it really well though!

Bye, bye alligator! Bye, bye vacation!!

Sounds lovely! My favorite "staycation" is the spa at Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes... LOVE it! Such a wonderful getaway without leaving town.
