Birdcage or not...

Last time I was in Memphis, I saw an adorable birdcage memory holder at Terri Hannah.
I loved it but knew there was no way I was getting on the airplane with it and a 2 year old.
So I left the store on a mission to find another birdcage holder for my daughter's room.
Imagine my surprise when I opened up the Restoration Hardware's Baby & Child catalog.
There it was sitting pretty in a little girl's nursery...kismet...until I looked at the price $69 plus $14 shipping. Usually, I would have paid the price and moved on - but I had just seen it for cheaper so I knew it was out there. So I continued...

...going through the big stack of catalogs. Why do they all come on the exact same day?
Enter the Home Decorators magazine page 42!
Seriously, the same birdcage holder and found on the same day!
This one was $39 plus $7 shipping.

SOLD - to the mommy on a mission!

Little Maven

Little Maven is an adorable kid's clothing line from Tori Spelling. The patterns and colors are perfect for the spring. My favorite is the Ikat print for the girls.
Guess what? They are having a WAREHOUSE SALE on all their clothing.
Example: the Ikat Swimsuit is $9.50...regular price $38.

If interested, you better hurry...they are running low on sizes.
I'm really considering "buying up" for Carter on this sale.

Over the Rainbow

Yesterday, we had a rainy day here in Orlando so we stayed inside and did a few craft projects.
I'm working on colors with Carter and decided a few "rainbow-theme" crafts would be fun.

We put together a rainbow from tissue paper. She was getting the colors...but I'll be honest she was mostly interested in the glue stick. Mommy did most of the work but she did hand me the colored tissue paper.

We also did a M&M poster. I put a few M&M's out and she would put them in the right circle...after some help from mommy. Then, she decided it was more fun to eat them.

I'm so happy I get to see this face every day!

Maybe one day I will up my "crafting" to this! Love it!

Pinhole Press: Panoramic

I'm drooling over the new panoramic photo books by Pinhole Press. These 60 page photo books are definitely easy on the eye. I'm thinking about going back and getting my daughter's first and second birthday parties done. Somehow, the current books I have do not compare now. These would look pretty on the shelf or stacked on a tufted coffee ottoman.

House Tour: Knight Moves

I have a DEEP passion for every (yes, I literally mean EVERY) detail of this house.
I love when bloggers show their personal homes. After following their blogs, you grow an attachment to their design & style and adore when they open up their homes.
If you feel the same, you will love Knight Moves. Kyle shares all the ditty on her home.

Hope you enjoy her home as much as I do!!

Paper Monday

I owe a small stationery business where I help brides find the right invitation for their weddings. Most brides have a budget for all their stationery needs including: invitations, programs and thank you notes. I believe there is one piece of wedding stationery that is overlooked or not given the proper attention...Save the Dates.
It's nice to give your guests a little heads-up on your wedding...especially out-of-town guests.
However, with increasing costs for a wedding, I understand some do not see this as a necessary expense.
Please let me introduce the Wedding Chicks!
They are so sweet to offer free downloads for Save the Dates.
Bonus, they are adorable (can't say the same about some others I have seen)!
Second bonus, most come in multiple colors!

Obsessed with this song...

To the Monkeys...

Dear Orlando friends (or visitors) - The Orlando Science Center is the BOMB!

Carter and I went with a group of friends this past Friday to the OSC and then back again with Daddy on Sunday. Carter was so excited about her visits to the Science Center. We drove by the OSC today and she started crying because we didn't stop! It was hard convincing her that we are going back again...thanks to our family pass. They currently have a Curious George exhibit...which is fantastic! Carter loves MONKEYS!
Also, they have daily activities: story time, musical madness, alligator feeding & stingray feeding...plus Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees film.

Mommies can take this discount in and save with a membership. Expires 3/31/11.

Current Cravings

Actually, I love anything and everything related to chalkboard paint.
The possibilities are endless with this stuff!

This could be my new (or first) everyday bracelet.
Shh...I'm dreaming how this would look on my arm.

I'm dying to make these for my daughter.
She will love them...then tear them up before the cow says moo!

Wednesday Night TV on ABC

Seriously, these are two of my favorite shows.
I cannot get enough of Modern Family. Every episode I am laughing from that deep place in your stomach. I'm always in the best mood after it goes off. I really mean, can you get any better?
Off the Map has one insanely hot guy with an accent. Period.

H&M skirt

I'm heading to H&M tomorrow to see if I can find this skirt...keep your fingers crossed!
