SeaWorld, we will miss you!

Before we left Florida, one of our favorite things to do in Orlando was hanging out at SeaWorld. With the heat, it was nice to be able to go for a few hours and back home for naps. This past Spring, they started the Sesame Street show again. Carter loves her Abby and Elmo. No matter how many times we saw the same show, she always acted like it was the first time. I never want to forget the thrill in her face - priceless! We loved to go with Miss Gracyn! It will be one of the first things we do when we visit!

Where there's a slide, you will find Carter Reese!

Of course, she loved the Shamu show. It's a must!

Wisteria Lane

I have never ordered anything from Wisteria but somehow I got on their email distribution list.
(I'm sure some of you receive the same emails.)
Recently, they've actually become one of the emails that I don't automatically send to the "trash" folder.
For the past few weeks, I have found my wish list of "Wisteria" items growing.
I find that most things are affordable - which is surprising!

Here are a few that I have noticed:

Linen Upholstered Cane-Back Chair...love anything CANE!

Yes, pretty much this ENTIRE room...especially those blue nautical charts.

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny...

Now, that Carter is OBSESSED with the beach, pools and all things wet - we needed to expand our swimsuit collection. Something about shopping for swimsuits for her makes me so happy...if only I felt the same about myself!

Here is our newest addition:

I had ordered the green one because the pink was out of stock - however, when I opened the package imagine my surprise when I saw the pink one. I guess it wasn't really out of stock.
How did the "bathing suit gods" know pink is her "signature color"?

I think both are adorable - I love the two piece ones as well but I'm not ready for that stage yet!

Beach Bums

So, as I mentioned before - I'm going to be doing some back-tracking on important (at least to me) events that I missed due to packing, moving and all other life-altering events!

Carter's first beach experience
As with most things, we took our 45 minute drive to the beach for granted and now we are hours plus hours away from the beach. And of course, all Carter talks about now is the beach!
We had taken Carter to all the nice resorts and pools that Orlando has to offer but never had stepped foot on a beach with her.
1) Barrett is not a big beach person - not at all!
2) Carter is very fair complected - which does not mix well with hot Florida sun.
3) We thought we would always live close by.

So, when we saw that our beach time was coming to an end - we packed the car and headed over for a little introduction. Carter was happy to meet the beach...not so much the ocean (can't really blame her!). These are some of my favorite pics - please forgive the wild hair (carter's and mine)...the wind was blown like crazy...or maybe our fan prop was a little too close!

Perfect Seersucker Dress

I have always been a "sucker" for a seersucker dress.
However, I realized I'm getting a little old to be strutting around in this summer fabric...so I'm passed the torch to my daughter.

Would this dress not be perfect with a red hair bow for a 4th of July backyard barbeque?
Then, only if your little one did not get popsicle stains that you may or may not be able to get out...you could change the hair bow to white & pair with Saltwater Sandals and it would be great for church!
