My dear friend, Erin and her son Tate, hosted a FUN Valentine's play date today.

We each brought little Valentine treats for all the kiddos. Erin had a craft table for everyone to decorate their Valentine boxes and create a Valentine for Daddy. Erin, thanks for the Mickey stickers...Carter's favorite! As always, it was nice to catch up with wonderful friends and watch the kids play...they are all getting so big.

We're definitely going to miss everyone when we move. It is so comforting to know that you have such dear friends - I believe that some times I have taken this for granted.

I love you, FRIENDS!

Valentine's Dessert

This Valentine's Day, there will be no big, fancy restaurant meal for this blogger.

Barrett has to travel on Valentine's Day.

Soooo, I've decided to keep it real and plan a big, fancy home-cooked meal.

Well, if we're keeping it real...anything would be fancier than what I've been cooking lately...peanut butter sandwiches don't count, do they?

Barrett has been traveling during the weeks...so it's hard for me to get motivated to cook lately.

These are going to be my surprise dessert for hubby.

Because really, what says Happy Valentine's Day more than a whoopie pie?

Valentine's Day Goodie Bags

Check out these simple...but oh so cute...DIY Valentine's Day goodie bag.

The very talented Kathleen over at Twig & Thistle created the fabulous template for us to use.

All you need are the white bags (Hobby Lobby or Michael's) and an ink jet printer.

If you don't want to print right on the bags, you could use sticker paper.

Valentine's Party Rewind

Last year, we had a little Valentine's party for some of Carter's friends. Everyone bought a Valentine's treat for all the kids...so they were able to go home with their personalized container full of Valentines. I was hoping that we would be able to carry on the tradition this year but between the move and sickness, it would be too much right now. We are thankful and excited about the Valentine parties we are attending this year!
